The Maryville Alcoa Flying Dolphins are a parent supported organization. Each and every year, there are many parents who go "above and beyond" to help the swim team.

An outstanding volunteer in her own effort, Jackie Stroh was a strong supporter for the Flying Dolphins until her passing in December, 2001. In honor of her continuous support, the Dolphins began the Jackie Stroh award in 2003 and awarded it posthumously.

Each year, MAFD continues to honor Mrs. Stroh.  The parents are the sweat and equity of our team and all that they do is unparallel to making sure each season runs as successfully as it does.

In 2011, the team awarded the Jackie Stroh Award to Sue Thompson. Sue has been a tremendous asset to the Flying Dolphins, most importantly in scoring. Each and every meet, Sue works to make sure our meets run smoothly and efficiently. On top of all her hard work, she even has time to support her husband, Flying Dolphin board member Dave Thompson. Congratulations Sue!
