The Dolphins are a summer swim team that includes children from under 6 to 18 years of age. The team practices at Springbrook Pool, John Sevier Pool and Maryville College.
Established in 1973, our mission is to provide wholesome competition, build the swimmers skill and endurance, and have fun.
Each summer season, the Flying Dolphins place an emphasis on beneficial practices and fast paced swim meets. Every swimmer takes part in the largest outdoor swim meet in the nation - the Smoky Mountain Invitational. And our best swimmers lead the way every year into the finals of the GKAISA City Championship.
The Maryville Alcoa Flying Dolphins are located in Maryville and Alcoa, Tennessee, 10 miles south of Knoxville. Located in the beautiful shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, MAFD is made up of more than 225 swimmers and 400 parents. Feel free to "swim" our website. If you'd like more information, please email the President of the board or visit the Maryville Alcoa Blount County Parks and Recreation website.
