Flying Dolphin Sign Ups
Parks and Rec will begin taking registration for the 2009 Flying Dolphins swim season in March.  This year, you will be asked your child’s shirt size and demo sizes will be available.  If possible, please have your child accompany you to Parks and Rec to sign up.  If you are signing up online, please be sure to enter a t-shirt size for your swimmers.

Lambert and Knox to Coach
Keith Lambert will once again join the Maryville Alcoa Flying Dolphins as Head Coach for the 2009 summer season.  We are also happy to announce that Jeff Knox has been named the Head Assistant Coach.  Visit the coaches page on flyingdolphins.org for more.

Preseason Warm Ups
We will again offer preseason warm ups for all prior Dolphin swimmers.  This year, there will be two sessions, one in April and one in May.  Warm ups will be on Tuesday and Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Maryville College pool.  The first session will be from April 7 to April 30.  The second session will run from May 5 through May 21.  The session in April will cost $40 and the session in May will cost $30.

If you are interested in participating in one or both sessions, you must print out a form from the website and mail it to me by March 30.  Spacing is very limited for each session, so sign up early.  You can check the remaining slots open on the website.  Click on Dolphins and then Preseason Warm Ups.

Dolphins to go to Splash Country

We would like to invite all our swimmers to visit Dollywood’s Splash Country this year on Friday, July 17. The cost of the tickets is $34.70 for adults (12 and over) and $28.55 for children (4 – 11).  Children under 4 are free. Regular prices are $43.50 for adults and $37.90 for children.

To order your tickets, please fill out the form on the website and mail a check to Alex Shore.  Tickets will be offered through June 30.  You may also see Alex once practices begin and order your tickets that way.  Tickets will be given to you the week before the Dolphins go to Splash Country.

If you would like to upgrade your discount ticket to a season pass, you can do this as well.  However, you will need to order your tickets before May 3.  Tickets will then be available to you at the opening picnic on May 27.  If you need them before May 27, you can call Alex at 406-7702.

If you are not interested in upgrading our ticket offer to a season pass, you can still order the single day ticket until June 30.
