Dolphin Mile Challenge Results
Congratulations to all our swimmers for completing the Dolphin Mile Challenge last week. More than 25 swimmers finished the challenge. Each swimmer that finished should receive a Dolphin Dollar. If you did not receive yours, please see a board member.

What to Expect at SMI
SMI Meet Director and Vice President Denise Gardner will conduct a “What to Expect at SMI” orientation for new parents in 2009.  Two sessions will be held on July 6 and July 7, at 7:00 p.m. at John Sevier Pavilion. If you have never attended SMI and have the foggiest idea how this massive, two-day event takes place, we highly encourage you to attend one of the sessions. A new SMI FAQ page has also been posted on the SMI page of flyingdolphins.org for more details.

SMI Parent Volunteers
Slots are being filled by our volunteer coordinator for SMI on July 11 and 12.  Every family is expected to work at least one shift either on Saturday or Sunday.  This is our only means of fundraising for the team and it takes close to 200 Dolphin parents to run SMI. We are still missing many parent volunteers who have swimmers swimming. If you do not sign up, we will slot you into available openings to make sure the meet can take place. Email volunteer@flyingdolphins.org to help.

Individual Photo Session #3
Back by popular demand, we have scheduled a third session of individual photos.  If you did not make the first two sessions, or would like to order a team photo, please come to John Sevier Pool between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 and you can have an individual photo made, or order team photos.  Here is an order form for pricing.

SMI Set Up Friday, July 10
SMI set up will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Springbrook Pool. Practice for all swimmers will be at 6:00 p.m. All swimmers participating in SMI are strongly encouraged to attend this practice. Last minute details for the meet will be communicated. Also, SMI t-shirts will be sold to all our swimmers and parents at a discount rate.  Shirts will be $10, versus $15 during the meet.  You can also pick up iSwim shirts and other Dolphin merchandise to show your pride during SMI. Dolphin Dollars will also be accepted for awards and merchandise.
