An Awards Ceremony to Remember!
What a way to end the 2010 season. On Friday, August 6, Dolphin coaches, parents and swimmers came together to wrap up the 2010 swim season in grand style. Thank you to all our coaches. What a wonderful job they have done all year long. And our parents… the season is never a success without the hard work and dedication of our parent workers. What a great way to send off the season!
Forget Me Nots
In all the ceremony Friday, we did overlook a few key parents. Their contributions in 2010 went above and beyond and regret that they were not mentioned. The board would like to extend a special thank you to Pam Hathcock, Beth Lazar and Sanya Tingle for their dedication of organizing SMI workers. Our annual meet takes more than 500 parents to run, and this year was exceptional, due to the hard work of organizing workers. Thank you Pam, Beth and Sanya! These ladies had a great leader for SMI in Denise Gardner, our Vice President, and without a wonderful Meet Director, SMI would not be what it is. Thank you Denise!
Pictures and Awards
The awards ceremony video and more than 3,000 pictures DVD by Lynn Freeny is still available. You can send the president an email to request a copy. The cost is a $20 contribution to the Dolphins.
If you still have ribbons, medals, team merchandise or photos that were not picked up during the season, you can still get those. Contact our secretary Diane Hendrix to arrange pickup. The items will be kept until the 2011 season begins, and then discarded if not picked up. |
